Angela, thank you so much for those words. My grandmother (89 years old) is on her death bed and the family is making arrangements for her funeral. She taught me this song and I sang it in Church when I was 7 years old. there is also a Spanish version to it. I had forgotten some of the lyrics and decided to search. God has impeccable timing! Even now, I can’t hold back the tears!! Thanks for responding.

I hope you still check this site every once in a while. Because it was only today that I was lead here.
This is one of the first “adult songs” that my ******">******">******">******">****** taught my younger sister, younger brother and I. (About 40 years ago.) We sang it at other Churches and on Radio Curch programs. This is the way we sang it. It is wonderful to know that someone else loves it too. I would love to hear it in the Jamaican style!
